Embracing communities for better health
St. Veronica the Healed Medicare was born out of a successful outreaches conducted in the community. It Is through this that we managed to touch people’s lives through various aspects. We, therefore slowly developed a social franchise program addressing issues such as poverty, family issues, alcohol and substance use, teenage empowerment, health care and food program.
We are out here to promote comprehensive quality HIV care, mental and general healthcare as well as psychosocial support for OVC and GBV cases. SVHM also offer biomedical HIV/AIDS interventions dealing with key populations, handling them with dignity as we promote prevention, testing, care and integrated treatment services.
As a prevention measure, SVHM has a teenage empowerment program that focuses on young people aged between 12 – 19 years of age. Its aim is to equip them with skills they need to prevent themselves from risky behaviors that may lead to addiction, HIV infection and teenage pregnancies.
